We offer English as a Second Language in various methods to ensure that you receive the best education and approach to learning English as a Second Language. Program Description

The Education Department offers FREE English as a Second Language (ESL) courses in the classrooms of the IIMD and online. IIMD has developed its own integrated ESL curriculum and offers ESL services to learners of English as a foreign language. Our methods are both tried and tested and we consistently receive positive reviews from all participants.

Classes are not only for those who need to learn to read, write, and speak English, but also for those who need to improve their accents so as to be better understood in the Metro Detroit community.

The ESL Conversation Meet-Up Program will be taught IN-PERSON at the International Institute of Metro Detroit building.

Program Overview

  • Interactive IN-PERSON ESL conversation course taught by experience ESL instructor, Steven Taillard, M.S.Ed and TESOL certified

  • Course spans over 15-weeks

  • Program is FREE to qualified individuals

  • Qualifications: You must be a Michigan resident, and proof of Driver’s License / State ID required
