Program Description

IIMD’s Citizenship Classes offer individuals who are preparing to take their U.S. citizenship exam. Classes are offered both online and in-person.

IIMD offers community-based citizenship instruction through an evidence-based and integrated approach, teaching ESL and citizenship to southeast Michigan’s diverse LPRs. Its citizenship instruction is taught by IIMD’s licensed instructors. Working collaboratively with IIMD’s experienced immigration attorneys and DOJ Accredited Representatives, the program also provides high quality naturalization application assistance ensuring naturalized citizenship for enrolled students.

IIMD has over four decades of experience providing citizenship instruction.  In its most recent fiscal year (2019/2020), 158 students successfully passed the class, 74 students received naturalization application assistance, 104 students completed naturalization interviews with USCIS and 99 students became naturalized citizens.
