Asel Al Sindy, Business Developer

Asel Al Sindy is a dedicated Business Developer at IIMD. He works to build strong partnerships between business owners and refugee clients, helping individuals secure meaningful employment opportunities. With a background in social work, case management, and community engagement, Asel brings a wealth of experience to supporting refugees and immigrants with workforce integration, career advancement, and self-sufficiency. 


Prior to his role at IIMD, Asel served as a Case Manager at Samaritas, where he supported refugees with career readiness, job placement, and access to essential resources. His experience also extends internationally—he worked as a social worker in Switzerland, providing critical support to individuals with psychological and cognitive impairments, asylum seekers, and migrant communities. 


Fluent in Arabic, English, Italian, and German—with basic proficiency in French—Asel is passionate about cross-cultural communication and fostering inclusive environments for newcomers. He holds two bachelor’s degrees—one in Social Work from Höhere Fachschule Sozialpädagogik [BFF Bern] in Switzerland and another in theology from Urbaniana University in Rome—as well as a master’s degree in Philosophy from the Gregorian University in Rome Italy.
