Donations (Inkind)

The Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all donations may be tax deductible (verify with your personal tax consultant). 


The International Institute welcomes donations of:

  • Office supplies
  • Cultural artifacts
  • Computers (pentium III or  larger)
  • Printers
  • Microsoft Office software newest versions
  • U.S. flags (3 x 5′) to fly on our outside flagpole
  • Large bulletin board with locking glass cover for our jobs program
  • Artifact display cases with glass windows, such as curio cabinet, china display cabinet, etc.

If you have items to donate, please contact Wojciech Zolnowski (313) 871-8600 extension 2241 or email prior to bringing them to the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit.  All donations are subject to review before they are accepted.

The International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, as classified by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service under the Internal Revenue Code. We are also classified as a public charity under the Code. Contributions are deductable under Section 170 of the Code and we are qualified to receive tax deductable bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code. Please consult your personal tax advisor to determine tax deductability eligibility for your own particular circumstances and tax return.
