EEE Department Internship Opportunities
Foreign Language Instructor (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Swahili) Bilingual proficiency in the chosen language. Knowledge of the cultural values and customs of the countries.
Summer Camp Counselors – Must love children. Be creative, practical, knowledgeable, and innovative. Must have strong leadership skills. Must be a High School Senior or 18 and over, knowledge in global learning and educational activities.
Ethnic Dance Instructors/ Performance Arts – Instructors must have knowledge in vocal, dance, and/or music lessons. Have instruction in basic theater and improve techniques. Preferred dance majors, minimum of 2 years of formal instruction on dance.
Public Relations/Marketing – Proficiency in the utilization of media software. The ability to effectively communicate the mission and purpose of IIMD and its Ethnic Enrichment Education Department. Must have a minimum of two years of study in the field and Public Relations and Communications.
Fashion Design Intern – Must have a discriminating eye for detail. Basic sewing ability. Adept in color combination and texture, especially with ethnic attire. Must have a seamstress background. Knowledgeable in fabrics, patterns, design, and preservation of garments. Please bring a sample or portfolio of your prior work. Class work is welcome.
Event Coordinators – A task driven individual. Who is a self starter, follow instructions and creative. Must have an eye for detail. A proven track record of leadership and commitment.
Administrative & Office Management Intern – Strong communicator, ability to multi-task. Professional Phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills. Systematic and familiarity with office protocol. Must have at least two years of college.
Graphic Design – Must be proficient in different graphic design and computer software and programs. Knowledgeable in the utilization of Mac OS and Microsoft Windows Platforms is a must. Flash Design, Website creation & maintenance. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years in graphic design study. Please bring a portfolio showcasing you prior work and experience. Class work is welcome.
